What’s the world coming to?
The latest scam on internet spam seems to have caught up with me. There are apparently a LOT of unscrupulous spammers out there who are posting comments on blogs like mine with ads for free ring tones, mail order prescriptions, mortgages, etc., etc. In the last 2 weeks I have removed over a dozen “comments” from my posts that weren’t really comments at all, but were just ads for the same things all those emails that end up in our junk box are selling.
Infortunately, the only way I’ve determined to be able to stop them is to set it up so I have to moderate all the comments that get posted. I promise, if you should decide to post a comment (and I really wish you would!), I will allow it, unedited, regardless of what you say in it, as long as you aren’t trying to sell something. The server automatically sends me an email as soon as a comment is posted, so it will happen quickly, too.
If you know some other way to beat back these parasites. please let me know!
